Precision engineering for audio enjoyment
The STEREO L 2 puts you in the front row: with SCA coaxial design and three long-throw wok woofers, you have a perfectly tuned orchestra powered by a pair of built-in 190 watt class-D power amplifiers to set the rhythm and tone.
Modern, internal amplifiers and DSP components are tuned perfectly for the drivers. That improves performance for the overall system, an advantage over passive speakers with external amplifiers.
Large tweeters supply silky trebles even at high volumes. The tweeter and midrange driver are fused into a single component, meaning all frequencies they handle reach the ear at almost the exact same time, which makes playback sound particularly authentic and natural.
The magic of point-source sound
Here at Teufel, we want you to hear every microsecond of a saxophone trailing off, every key press on a piano, and every overtone of a synthesizer without having to spend a fortune on a HIFI setup.
And that was why we developed the SCA (Synchronized Coaxial Acoustics) flat diaphragm chassis here in our Berlin labs. It functions as a single-point audio source, creating only the most minor distance between the midrange driver and tweeter.
The flat diaphragm does not sonically limit the range of the tweeter. It keeps the vibrating air particles at a single layer and thus obstructs interference. As a result, every audio event comes across as if in reality, as a single-point source. The overall effect is a more realistic and precise experience than can be provided by separate tweeters.
